About the role
As the Administration Officer, Reception Support with BreastScreen SA (BSSA), you will play an important role in supporting South Australia’s participation in the national BreastScreen Australia program. Working within a service dedicated to reducing the mortality and morbidity associated with breast cancer in women aged 50 to 74, you will contribute to a welcoming, efficient and compassionate client experience across BSSA’s screening clinics and metro mobile unit. Your attention to detail, professionalism and ability to work sensitively with clients will help ensure every interaction reflects the values and purpose of this vital statewide service.
In this client-facing role, you will provide accurate data entry, reception duties and administrative support, using established IT systems to process information within agreed service standards while maintaining strict confidentiality. You will collaborate closely with Radiographer staff to deliver seamless customer service, assist with queries and complaints, and escalate issues to the Team Leader when needed. You will also support quality assurance activities by contributing to monitoring and reporting processes, helping to maintain the high standards required for an effective and trusted screening program.

You bring strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, and the confidence to manage tasks independently while meeting deadlines and maintaining high attention to detail. Key Requirements

Administration capability & client focus
Experience delivering high-quality, confidential administrative support in a client-centred setting, with strong understanding of customer service principles and general administration procedures. -
Task management, accuracy & pressure handling
Demonstrated ability to follow guidelines, prioritise work, meet deadlines, maintain meticulous attention to detail and perform effectively under pressure. -
Communication & teamwork
Strong written and verbal communication skills, proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, and confidence engaging with diverse clients and stakeholders. -
Systems proficiency & independent judgement
Competent computer skills, accurate typing, experience using multiple applications, and the ability to operate with some autonomy, applying initiative and resolving issues within established precedents.
