About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Corporate Administration Services team as Information Release Officer, where you will be responsible for:

  • Providing a consumer-oriented, efficient service to facilitate timely and confidential access to clinical and corporate information for internal and external clients, accountable to the Manager, Information Release Office.
  • Processing and managing Freedom of Information (FOI) and Release of Information (ROI) requests in compliance with legislation, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to internal guidelines and procedures.
  • Coordinating and monitoring requests from the Department for Child Protection, ensuring all responses are accurate, timely, and escalated as needed.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality and privacy standards when handling a high volume of complex and sensitive health information.
  • Managing medical records retrieval, storage, and tracking, ensuring compliance with departmental standards and statutory requirements.
  • Providing expert customer service and support, assisting clients with information access processes, appropriate consent, and advice on release procedures.
  • Working collaboratively within the team and contribute to continuous service improvement, training, and compliance with all relevant systems, policies, and legislation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in a busy administrative environment, maintaining accurate records and managing large volumes of work with high attention to detail.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and customer service skills, with strong verbal and written communication abilities to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently or as part of a team, managing priorities and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Proficient in Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Sound knowledge of administrative processes, privacy and confidentiality principles, and an understanding of Freedom of Information and Privacy legislation.
