About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Corporate Services team as Project Manager - Consumer and Community Engagement, where you will be responsible for:
- Leading and facilitating consumer consultation within the New WCH stakeholder engagement framework, ensuring timely and meaningful input throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supporting and advising project team members on effective consumer and carer engagement at key decision points, fostering active participation and co-design.
- Identifying, onboarding, and supporting diverse consumer advocates, including marginalized groups, to ensure broad representation and valuable insights for the New WCH Project.
- Managing dedicated consumer spaces, such as the Family Resource Centre, overseeing project planning, delivery, and ongoing coordination.
- Serving as the key liaison between the WCH Consumer Advisory Team and the New WCH Project, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
- Engaging external stakeholders related to clinical and operational service provision, including partners like Starlight, to strengthen collaborative community involvement.
- Providing expert project management and leadership to ensure consumer engagement activities align with strategic goals and contribute to successful project outcomes.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven ability to lead and facilitate consumer-focused co-design processes, actively involving diverse stakeholders in shaping services and environments.
- Skilled in culturally responsive and inclusive engagement methods that ensure all voices, especially marginalized groups, are heard and integrated.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with experience delivering high-quality reports, presentations, and expert advice on sensitive issues.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and deliver complex initiatives aligned with organisational objectives.
- Experience in both quantitative and qualitative analysis, translating consumer insights into actionable outcomes that enhance person and family-centred care
- In-depth knowledge of co-design principles, change management, and the South Australian public health system, including consumer engagement best practices.
