Join the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) in a pivotal role within the Internal Audit Team.
About the role:
Reporting to the Internal Audit Lead, the Senior Assurance Consultant plays a key role in driving organisational improvement, strengthening governance and accountability, and supporting informed decision-making across SALHN and SA Health. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality assurance activities within a dynamic and complex healthcare environment. Key duties include:
- Supporting the delivery of the Internal Audit Program through the planning, coordination and execution of audit projects across the organisation.
- Conducting complex audits, investigations and reviews, ensuring activities are completed in line with established standards, within budget and agreed timeframes.
- Preparing high-quality audit reports, briefings and recommendations for senior leadership, the Executive Leadership Committee, Audit and Risk Committee and Board.
- Building strong stakeholder relationships to provide expert advice, support continuous improvement initiatives and drive the implementation of agreed audit actions.
About you:
- Demonstrated expertise in internal auditing, including planning and delivering audits, conducting investigations, analysing complex financial and operational information, and developing practical recommendations.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships and present audit findings through clear, concise reports.
- Highly analytical and solutions-focused, with a sound understanding of risk management principles, accounting and auditing standards, and contemporary internal audit practices.
- A proactive and adaptable professional who demonstrates integrity, accountability and a commitment to continuous professional development, with the ability to mentor and support team members.
