Overview:

The Health Services Programs Branch is responsible for strategic program development and delivery for key health priorities within three key streams; planned, unplanned care and chronic and complex care. The Branch has a health policy focus to drive better value health care that improves population health and patient experience and consolidates operational focus and crisis response as needed. This position has a specific focus on state-wide outpatient redesign.

The Principal Project Officer:

  • Drives successful delivery of a range of complex projects and initiatives that contribute to the development of service redesign, policies and strategies that aim to support health program improvements.
  • Works collaboratively with Local Health Networks, other service providers and stakeholders to coordinate and implement project plans and strategies to support health system service initiatives.
  • Undertakes critical analysis of data and information to support evidence-based decision-making and proactively evaluates and monitors projects to identify issues and barriers, undertaking assurance and review activities to ensure ongoing project improvements.
  • Works in partnership with the Director of Nursing and leadership team of the Health Services Programs Branch to contribute to the achievement of key program goals and objectives

  • A ‘National Police Certificate’ NPC (also known as a ‘Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check’ NCCHC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment).

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact).

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
