  • Salary: RN/M3A $130,190 to $136,010 per annum (adjusted to actual hours worked) 
  • Part-time (0.6 FTE/22.8 hours a week), Temporary Opportunity up to December 2026  

 

WHAT ARE WE OFFERING? 

Join our team as an Emergency Nurse Educator and play a pivotal role in developing a skilled, confident and high-performing healthcare workforce through the delivery of innovative education, training and professional development programs. The specific education and/or training portfolio for this leadership position will focus on emergency educator support for Port Lincoln, Port Augusta, Whyalla and Port Pirie. The FTE for the position may be filled by one or multiple applicants with the right skill set.

Working collaboratively with clinical leaders and multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to service improvement, workforce capability development, research activities, and the implementation of contemporary education strategies. The successful candidate will provide expert advice, mentorship and professional leadership, acting as a key resource for staff while driving continuous learning, innovation and best-practice outcomes.

WHO ARE WE?  

The RSS is a business unit in SA Health and provides services throughout regional South Australia to support the six regional local health networks (LHNs). It employs around 260 people who work in 37 regional, rural and remote SA locations, or in the RSS's three Adelaide offices.

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE? 

You will………. 

  • Lead and deliver nursing and midwifery education programs that enhance clinical capability, support workforce development, and promote evidence-based practice across the organisation.  
  • Provide mentorship, coaching and professional support to nurses, midwives, students and clinical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence in patient care.  
  • Coordinate and evaluate training, competency and assessment activities, ensuring staff meet professional standards, organisational requirements and key performance indicators.  
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders and multidisciplinary teams to implement education initiatives, support service improvement projects, and facilitate change management activities.  
  • Provide expert clinical and professional advice to stakeholders while contributing to research, policy development, workforce planning and the advancement of nursing and midwifery practice.
