About the role

Provide safe, high-quality paediatric anaesthesia and acute pain management for elective and emergency cases. Contribute to teaching, research, and departmental leadership within the Women’s and Children’s Health Network.

Key duties of the role

  • Deliver safe, effective anaesthesia and acute pain management for paediatric patients
  • Provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative assessment and documentation
  • Participate in the after-hours on-call roster to ensure timely emergency care
  • Contribute to teaching, supervision, and training of trainees and clinical staff
  • Support research, continuing professional development, and departmental leadership

Skills and Experience

  • MBBS or equivalent and specialist registration in Anaesthesia with AHPRA
  • Extensive clinical experience in paediatric anaesthesia
  • Demonstrated skill in teaching, supervision, and clinical leadership
  • Proven experience in research and quality improvement activities
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
