About the role

Provide high-quality paediatric orthodontic care to eligible patients at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Lead and coordinate orthodontic services within the Paediatric Dental Department, supporting clinical excellence, education, and research while reporting to the Dental Unit Head.

Key duties of the role

  • Deliver safe, effective and efficient orthodontic services to paediatric and adolescent patients
  • Maintain detailed clinical documentation and uphold quality and safety standards across the service
  • Supervise, mentor and support junior dental staff, registrars and fellows in their clinical development
  • Lead and participate in departmental research, audits and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Promote patient-centred care, ensuring families are informed, supported and engaged in treatment decisions

Skills and Experience

  • Registered Orthodontic Specialist with the Dental Board of Australia
  • Extensive clinical experience across all aspects of orthodontics
  • Proven ability to manage patients with craniofacial malformations and complex medical needs
  • Strong communication and leadership skills within a multidisciplinary clinical environment
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching and contributing to research activities
