  • Full-Time, Temporary Contract until 30th June 2026.  Part time applicants will also be considered.  

About the Role

As the Lead Research Fellow, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of mental health research through the Centre for Treatment of Anxiety and Depression (CTAD). This position offers the opportunity to lead innovative, multi-disciplinary research initiatives that harness CTAD’s rich clinical data to deliver real-world impact in mental health care. Working with a high level of independence, you’ll guide research direction, prioritise resources, and drive the growth of a cutting-edge program that connects evidence, practice, and policy, within the setting of an active psychological therapy and training clinic.

You’ll be at the forefront of mental health innovation—providing expert guidance on emerging research trends, fostering collaboration across academic and clinical settings, and mentoring the next generation of researchers. With a strong foundation in mental health research methodologies, data analytics, and leadership, you’ll contribute to meaningful change that enhances outcomes for mental health service users across South Australia and beyond.

About You

You are an accomplished researcher and strategic leader with a passion for advancing mental health care through data-driven, applied research. With a strong academic foundation and a proven ability to lead complex, multi-disciplinary research initiatives, you bring both scientific excellence and a collaborative spirit to this pivotal role.

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • A PhD in Psychology, Psychiatry, Public Health, Health Services Research, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated leadership, mentorship and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Expertise in advanced data analytics, managing large clinical datasets, and driving innovative mental health research programs.
  • A strong record of high-quality publications.
