Exciting Nursing Opportunity - Noarlunga Infusion Centre

Join our specialised Noarlunga Infusion Centre team as a Registered Nurse, where you'll provide expert care to patients receiving various non-chemotherapy infusions and transfusions for a variety medical and surgical specialties within SALHN. About the role: 

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, this role will provide nursing services in Noarlunga Infusion Centre for patients undergoing infusion therapies which has been consolidated by experience and/or further study with staff at this level developing from competent to proficient practitioners.

Duties for the role will include:

• Monitoring patient/client care plans to ensure appropriate care outcomes are achieved on a daily basis,
• Assists and supports the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager or equivalent in management, clinical, and education activities,
• Participate in clinical teaching, overseeing learning experience, and goal setting for students, new staff and staff with less experience,
• Contributing to the development of an integrated team approach and culture which is highly responsive to the needs of our consumers,
• Review decisions, assessments and recommendations from less experienced Registered Nurses/ Midwives and Enrolled Nurses and students.

About you:

• RN1/RN2: Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate,
• Clinical Nurse - To be eligible for appointment as a Clinical Nurse, you must possess at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience,
• Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards,
• Cannulation and CVAD skills,
• Demonstrated competence in contemporary nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards
