The Allergy & Clinical Immunology (ACI) Service at Flinders Medical Centre, provides comprehensive management of both inpatients (acute hospitalised at medical day unit) and outpatients. As Flinders Medical Centre is part of the greater Southern Adelaide Local Health Network, the ACI service also extends to peripheral sites such as Marion GP Plus and Noarlunga Health Service.
SA Health is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Adult Registrar - Allergy/Clinical Immunology to join the SALHN Allergy & Clinical Immunology Service at the prestigious Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide's metropolitan southern region.
About the role:
As the ACI Clinical Registrar you will contribute to the broad range of clinical services under the supervision of committed and supportive clinicians. The position will be supported to meet the training requirements, as outlined by Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) training requirements.
A strength of the Flinders Medical Centre ACI Service includes breadth and complexity of clinical cases and specialist expertise across the paediatric to adult age continuum.
In addition to the clinical service provision, the ACI department including the registrar have a strong interest in teaching, which extends from medical students to junior medical officers.

- Opportunities to participate in quality improvement projects such as clinical audits and research.
- Opportunities to undertake and complete the compulsory RACP research project.
These opportunities will complement teaching provided by the ACI department.
About you:
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) or equivalent, registerable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration.
- Entry into RACP Advanced Training, or equivalent if trained overseas is desirable, significant RACP Basic Training experience essential.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including colleagues and other professional staff.

Please note: There will be statewide interviews for candidate selection/rotation assignment for Clinical Immunology advanced training. Candidates are encouraged to also apply to the corresponding CALHN position(s) to facilitate this process. As per the SMOEA 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12-month allocation as Adult Registrar will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills and capabilities.
