WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?

We are looking for a dedicated Allied Health Team Leader to provide strong leadership and coordination of the multidisciplinary client care service within the BHFLHN Mount Barker Inpatient Allied Health Team. In this role, you will also support our team at the Strathalbyn site, ensuring consistent, high-quality care across locations.

To excel in this role and deliver exceptional patient outcomes, you will collaborate closely with Clinical Leads and the broader team to provide contemporary, evidence-based allied health services in an inpatient setting. You will uphold and drive compliance with quality standards aligned to our Models of Care, actively leading continuous improvement initiatives and reporting on service performance.

Your advanced interpersonal skills will be key to building and nurturing seamless service integration with metropolitan and regional health providers, fostering a patient-centred approach at every step.

This is a pivotal leadership position where you will also contribute to strategic and business planning processes, helping to shape sustainable growth and improve client and patient experiences.

The Fleurieu Peninsula is just one hour from the city of Adelaide.  It covers the stunning areas and towns of McLaren Vale, through to Strathalbyn, Goolwa, Victor Harbor and Aldinga Beach where you can spend days off experiencing the wineries and award winning restaurants of the southern vales.  Of if you like the sea, enjoy our stunning coastline from Cape Jervis and Rapid Bay up to Aldinga and Sellicks Beach, whilst only being just over an hour from Adelaide’s CBD.  Catch a glimpse here.

WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW/WHAT IS ESSENTIAL FOR YOUR SUCCESS?

Working in this environment, it is important to us that we only employ people with the upmost integrity and commitment to serving the South Australian community and its visitors to the highest possible standards.  To ensure that we meet that commitment there are a few checks that you will be required to undertake.  These are detailed on the Role Description, and do vary depending on what is required in the role, but are likely to include the following:

  • You will need to be immunised.  The policy on immunisation is very detailed, so please contact the Enquiries Person for this position if you have any queries.  Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy
  • You will need to undergo employment screening, what you require is also on the front page of the Role Description.
  • You will be required to hold registration with AHPRA to practice as a Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional within our organisation
