As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) in our Renal Unit, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering high-quality care while also contributing to the development and leadership of nursing practice within the unit. About the Role:
As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (Renal), you will work closely with the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager (NMUM) to provide leadership and support to nursing teams, ensuring the delivery of consistent and comprehensive care across the unit. You’ll contribute to the implementation of practice changes, collaborating with the wider team to enhance patient outcomes and foster a positive, supportive environment for both patients and staff.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing the management of staffing, recruitment, performance processes, rostering, and attendance management, as well as contributing to the unit’s financial and resource planning. You will play a key role in mentoring and developing less experienced staff, ensuring they grow from competent to proficient practitioners.

What We’re Looking For:
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
- Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
- Experience in the supervision of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.
