About the Role

As a Technical Officer (TGO2), you will play a pivotal role in Blood Bank. Performing both routine pre transfusion testing and complex antibody investigations. Whether working independently or within a team, you will be responsible for providing critical results and ensuring the success of projects through your technical knowledge and practical experience. This is an opportunity to contribute to innovative work while developing your skills further in a supportive and dynamic environment.

In this role, you’ll also take on supervisory responsibilities, guiding and supporting your team in delivering high-quality technical outcomes. You’ll be tasked with providing detailed reports and recommendations regarding the suitability of equipment, procedures, and processes, ensuring that all technical aspects align with best practices and project goals. This is a chance to lead, learn, and make a meaningful impact across diverse technical initiatives.

About You

We’re looking for a motivated and skilled Technical Officer with a strong commitment to excellence and a passion for working in a laboratory environment.

  • Qualifications & Experience – You hold a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a relevant technical discipline, with demonstrated experience in a Blood Bank laboratory and client management.

  • Strong Problem-Solving & Technical Skills – You possess excellent numerical, keyboard, and computer skills, and have a proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving issues.

  • Teamwork & Communication – You communicate effectively both orally and in writing, with a positive commitment to customer service and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

  • Leadership & Time Management – You have the ability to supervise and train others, prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
