About the Role

As a Senior Support Services Officer, you will play a vital role within a dynamic and multidisciplinary Outpatient team, delivering high-level administrative support to clinicians and ensuring smooth and efficient patient services. Your work will be integral to enhancing the patient experience, contributing to streamlined processes, timely communication, and accurate data management across the department. With your keen attention to detail and strong organisational skills, you’ll support clinical staff in delivering quality care while maintaining a professional and welcoming environment for patients and families.

About you

You are a dedicated and reliable professional who takes pride in providing high-quality support within a healthcare setting. You thrive in a team-based environment and bring a strong sense of empathy, initiative and professionalism to every interaction.

  • You hold an AQF Certificate III relevant to the role and have completed at least 560 hours of satisfactory in-service experience in a patient care setting.

  • You’re confident working under limited direction, with the ability to assess and prioritise tasks to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  • You have excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families and colleagues from diverse backgrounds while maintaining confidentiality.

  • You bring sound knowledge of hospital operations, including customer service principles, Equal Opportunity and OHS&W policies, and responsibilities under the Health Care Act 2012.
