About the role

Join our skilled Medical Imaging team as a Radiographer and use your expertise to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging across a diverse range of clinical specialties. Working with minimal professional direction, you’ll perform complex radiographic examinations across various modalities, adapting to changing clinical priorities while ensuring safe, timely and patient-focused care. As part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you’ll work alongside radiographers, radiologists, medical officers, nurses and other health professionals to support accurate diagnosis and positive patient outcomes.

Beyond your clinical practice, you’ll have the opportunity to share your knowledge and support the development of others by providing professional guidance to radiographers, new graduates and students undertaking clinical placements or work experience. You’ll also contribute to approved research and quality assurance initiatives, helping strengthen professional practice and service delivery. About You

You are a skilled and adaptable Radiographer committed to safe, high-quality imaging and positive patient experiences. To be successful in this role, you will:

• Hold a Medical Radiation degree and current MRPB registration
• Hold or be eligible for the required SA radiation licence
• Perform complex imaging procedures with sound clinical judgement
• Collaborate effectively while guiding radiographers and students

Statewide Clinical Support Services (SCSS) is a unique public healthcare organisation that serves health consumers and provides specialist clinical services to the health system in South Australia. SCSS encompasses BreastScreen SA, SA Dental, SA Medical Imaging, SA Pathology, and SA Pharmacy.

South Australia Medical Imaging (SAMI) is the largest public imaging provider in Australia! With a full range of diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional imaging services provided by a multidisciplinary team, SA Medical Imaging provides care to public and private inpatients, outpatients and emergency department patients.

The RHP has undergone significant redevelopment and refurbishment to turn the site into a thriving health precinct, providing a range of health and wellbeing services. The precinct is now open to the community with a town square, cafés and a playground established for patients, families, and the community to utilise. 

The medical imaging department is also growing – with building works nearing completion for a service expansion that includes three more Ultrasound rooms, a new MRI and Photon Counting CT.
