About the Role:

The Services Assistant is responsible for providing a timely, efficient and effective service, that involves the catering, and cleaning services of the health unit. Duties may include the preparation, service and delivery of food to clients, and general housekeeping. The Services Assistant may also be required to undertake laundry duties.

What We're Looking For:

Essential Criteria 

  • Strong teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse people.
  • Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work across different settings and rosters and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work under general direction, support colleagues and maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience or understanding of housekeeping, catering and laundry duties, with a commitment to customer service.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety, infection control, workplace safety and risk management.

Desired Criteria 

  • Year 11 completion and a current First Aid Certificate.
  • Demonstrated manual handling skills, with experience in housekeeping, catering and laundry.
  • Basic computer skills and an understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity principles.
