About the Role

As a Cook, you will help ensure the efficient preparation, production and distribution of meals and beverages to appropriate quality and food service standards.

Working with the Services Supervisor and wider team, you will:

  • Prepare and cook meals, including bulk meals, special diets and infant formulas.
  • Oversee meal and beverage service, plating, food distribution and quality control.
  • Order food supplies, collate menus and bulk orders, and support menu selection.
  • Liaise with dietitian and nursing staff, while supporting staff training, rostering and functions.

About You

We are looking for a Cook who is organised, flexible and confident working with limited direction.  You will bring:

  • Experience preparing and cooking bulk meals and special dietary requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills across diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently, use initiative, exercise judgement and meet deadlines.
  • Team-focused, flexible and able to adapt to rostering and changing requirements.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel, with discretion and confidentiality.
