Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) – Upper Limb Fellow 2027

  • Royal Adelaide Hospital, Adelaide SA 5000 – Orthopaedics and Trauma
  • MDP2 – $99,707 to $158,523 p.a. + super + salary packaging
  • Temporary – Full Time, 1 February to 31 July 2027

Term of the Contract: 3 years (in line with clause 55 of the Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement). At the end of the training program, CALHN will work with the employee to assist in finding a suitable placement within SA Health for the remainder of the three-year contract, if necessary.

About the Role

As the Upper Limb Fellow, you will care for inpatients and outpatients under consultant supervision, with opportunities to manage upper limb trauma and service theatre lists. You will help develop junior medical staff and contribute to clinical review, teaching and research.

  • Provide clinical care in clinics, theatres and on ward rounds
  • Support interns and resident medical officers in daily practice
  • Join the after-hours emergency on-call roster
  • Lead clinical review and contribute to quality reports
  • Teach postgraduate colleagues and support research projects

About You

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Hold an MBBS or equivalent and be registerable with AHPRA
  • Have completed specialist orthopaedic surgical training
  • Have completed ATLS or a similar course
  • Have completed basic and advanced fracture courses
  • Bring surgical, junior staff supervision and research experience
