About the role

As Deputy Director of Pharmacy Services - Medicines Governance, Mental Health and Research, you will play a key leadership role in the day-to-day management and delivery of high-quality, cost-effective and patient-responsive pharmacy services. Working closely with pharmacy and health service teams, you will provide comprehensive and complex professional services, support medication safety and quality improvement, and ensure contemporary pharmacy practice, policies and legislative requirements are upheld. You will lead, coordinate and develop professional, support, intern and student staff, creating a positive environment for learning, collaboration and excellence.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with strategic leadership and make a meaningful impact across SA Pharmacy and the broader health system. You will contribute to policy and service development, represent Pharmacy and the Local Health Network at state-wide and national forums, and lead or support key portfolios and workgroups aligned with SA Pharmacy strategic priorities. About You

We are looking for an experienced pharmacy leader who combines strong clinical expertise with a passion for people, service improvement and delivering better outcomes for patients.

  • Qualified and registered: Bachelor of Pharmacy with current or eligible registration in Australia.
  • Experienced leader: Extensive hospital pharmacy experience, with proven leadership, management and multidisciplinary team skills.
  • Strategic and innovative: Skilled in change management, research, data analysis and developing strategies to improve service delivery.
  • People-focused communicator: Builds trust, communicates confidently and can educate, supervise and develop staff and students.
