Overview

SA Health's Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (LHN) serves some of South Australia's most expansive and remote communities, from the Eyre Peninsula to the Far North. Based in Port Lincoln - the regional hub of the Eyre Peninsula, this is an opportunity for an experienced Health Information Manager to apply their expertise where it genuinely matters.

What You'll Be Doing

Reporting within the Eyre and Far North LHN - Corporate Services, you will lead and support health information management functions across the network for the duration of this contract through to 29 January 2027.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of clinical coding and health records across network facilities
  • Providing specialist advice on health information governance, data quality, and compliance with national standards
  • Collaborating with clinical and administrative teams to support activity-based funding and reporting requirements
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen health information systems and workflows across the LHN

What You'll Bring

  • Demonstrated clinical coding experience and working knowledge of ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS
  • Solid understanding of SA Health data collections, reporting frameworks, and relevant legislation
  • Proven ability to analyse complex health data and translate findings into actionable recommendations
  • Experience operating within a multi-site or rural health network environment
  • Current registration or eligibility for membership with the Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA)
