As an Assistant in Nursing (AIN), you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of safe, person-centred care to patients and residents. These roles suit individuals who value flexibility, teamwork, and the chance to broaden their experience across a range of care environments.

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?

Although the role location or clinical service area may change, the skills required remain the same.

As an Assistant in Nursing, you will:

• Assist Enrolled and Registered Nurses/Midwives with basic nursing duties and activities of daily living
• Provide person-centred care and support while following established guidelines and protocols
• Carry out routine tasks such as setting up for procedures, cleaning equipment, and managing stock levels
• Contribute to safe care environments, quality improvement activities, and data collection as required

WE ARE TRULY A FLEXIBLE WORKING EMPLOYER

Holding all the benefits of being ongoing (permanent) employee of the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Health Network, but with the flexibility to move across our sites to expand your skills and experience in various clinical areas is what we offer.  Whilst we provide this flexibility, our assignments are planned, and you will be given lots of notice to ensure your success.

WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW/WHAT IS ESSENTIAL FOR SUCCESS?

Working in this environment, it is important to us that we only employ people with the upmost integrity and commitment to serving the South Australian community and its visitors to the highest possible standards.  To ensure that we meet that commitment there are a few checks that you will be required to undertake.  These are detailed on the Role Description, but are likely to include the following:

• You will need to be immunised. Please contact the Enquiries Person for this position if you have any queries.  Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy. Further information is in the application for to help guide you
• You will need to undergo employment screening, what you require is also on the front page of the Role Description
