Overview

Elmhaven Aged Care in Streaky Bay is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager.

Working alongside the Nurse Unit Manager, you’ll provide clinical leadership and support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to our residents. This is an opportunity to use your nursing experience to lead a supportive team, advocate for residents and help create a positive environment where people feel valued and cared for.

About the Role

As Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will:

  • Provide and oversee high-quality, person-centred clinical nursing care
  • Support the management and review of individual resident care plans
  • Provide clinical guidance, supervision and support to nursing staff and students
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes for residents
  • Contribute to clinical decision-making, quality improvement and service development
  • Support the Nurse Unit Manager with the day-to-day coordination of the service

About You

We’re looking for an experienced Registered Nurse who is ready to take the next step in their career and make a difference in aged care.

You will have:

  • Current registration, or eligibility for registration, as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a current practising certificate
  • At least three years’ post-registration experience, or current classification as a Clinical Nurse
  • Experience providing clinical leadership, supervision and support to nursing staff
  • Sound knowledge of aged care standards and person-centred care
  • Strong communication, organisation and clinical decision-making skills
  • A commitment to quality improvement and achieving positive outcomes for residents
