We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiac Technician to join our Cardiology Team

At Flinders Medical Centre, non-invasive cardiac investigations sit at the heart of complex clinical decision-making for one of Adelaide's most diverse patient populations. 

About the role: 

Within the SALHN cardiac investigations team; these positions support, deliver and oversee a broad range of non-invasive cardiac diagnostic services to inpatients and outpatients.

Duties for the role will include:

  • Perform routine cardiac tests such as ECGs, Holter monitors and blood pressure monitors, and providing reports.
  • Carry out routine cardiac investigations, interpreting data results and providing preliminary reports to Cardiologists.
  • Ensure the patient understands instructions/appointments and refer to sonographer/medical staff where appropriate.
  • Providing the relevant information to patients regarding the appointments and requested tests
  • Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of effective communication to promote an interdisciplinary collaborative approach to providing outpatient services.

About you:

  • Experience in non-invasive cardiac testing: performing ECGs, Holter Monitors & blood pressure monitors.
  • Demonstrated experience in a broad range of clerical tasks
  • Proven experience using medical terminology in the work-place
  • Demonstrated experience using medical equipment and associated computer systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively and develop sound working relationships with patients and staff at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and place in priority order workload demands
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member
  • Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality in matters relating to patient information.

This is a single vacancy, with two possible appointment classifications. The successful applicants will be appointed in the position appropriate to their skills, qualifications, and experience.
