Overview:

Sitting within the Strategy and Intergovernmental Relations Branch, the Health Strategy Team focuses on priority system‑level health issues that sit across jurisdictions, funding and accountability boundaries and cannot be resolved locally. It enables deliberate decisions, effective escalation and coordinated engagement with the Commonwealth to address interface issues between services and sectors.

Leading the Health Strategy team, the Director is the key advisor on a range of system level strategic projects encompassing state and national policy matters. The position supports and facilitates system level discussion on cross portfolio matters with a key focus on the interface between Local Health Networks (LHNs) and the primary care, aged care and disability care systems.

The role will oversee the development of a system level approach to issues that advance SA Health’s whole of portfolio strategic priorities.

The Director, Strategy will participate as an integral member of the Strategy and Intergovernmental Relations executive team, significantly contributing to the leadership, vision and strategic direction setting for the Branch.

·       A ‘National Police Certificate’ NPC (also known as a ‘Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check’ NCCHC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)
