Looking for a rewarding role where your work truly makes a difference?  Join the team at Wallaroo Hospital as a Services Assistant and help create a safe, welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff.  This ongoing part-time opportunity (64 hours per fortnight) offers job security, supportive colleagues and the change to build a meaningful career in healthcare.

About the Role

As a Services Assistant, you'll play an important role in the smooth day-to-day operation of the hospital.  From maintaining clean and safe environments to supporting patient care and assisting with hospitality services, every task you complete helps deliver the high-quality care our community relies on.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Maintaining clean, safe and comfortable patient and clinical areas.
  • Assisting with patient movement and non-clinical support tasks.
  • Providing food, catering and hospitality services.
  • Supporting laundry and linen services.
  • Restocking supplies and assisting the healthcare team as required.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a reliable and motivated team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to excellent customer service. Experience in housekeeping, catering, cooking or laundry is advantageous, however full training will be provided.

To be successful, you will have:

  • A strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • The ability to work well both independently and in a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and patient care.
  • A flexible approach and the ability to work in a busy healthcare environment.
