Overview:

An exciting opportunity exists for experienced HR professionals looking to further develop their career in a manager role in a small yet vibrant and diverse agency. The role will work with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the business strategy of the agency.

  • Reporting to the Director, Corporate Services, the Manager, Human Resources is responsible for leading and managing the delivery of high-quality human resource and workforce programs and services for Preventive Health SA. The Manager, Human Resources is required to provide expert strategic and operational workforce and human resources advice across the agency and develop policies and procedures to support workforce operations and reporting. This includes, but is not limited to, enabling the delivery of effective Performance Review and Development processes and working with Managers to deliver appropriate and rigorous recruitment processes that build a strong workforce and support the work of Preventive Health SA. 

  • The role ensures relevant data and registers for the agency are maintained to record information relevant to the workforce, including legislative and statutory training requirements, work health and safety, employment opportunity programs and performance review and development. The Manager, Human Resources is pivotal in ensuring contemporary and appropriate responses to emerging workforce changes and challenges and will influence, maintain, and support a culture of high performance, professionalism and continuous improvement within the agency.

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
