Overview

Regional coastal living meets genuinely rewarding clinical work. Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (EFNLHN) is seeking experienced Mental Health Registered Nurses to join our Community Mental Health Team, with positions available in Port Lincoln or Ceduna. Full time and part time arrangements are both on the table - multiple roles are available, and we're ready to work with the right candidates on FTE and location.

What You'll Be Doing

Working within EFNLHN's Community Mental Health service, you will deliver integrated care to consumers across the Eyre Peninsula and Far North regions, guided by strength-based approaches and the principles of positive psychology. Day to day, your focus will include:

  • Planning, implementing and evaluating individualised care plans that achieve safe, recovery-oriented outcomes for consumers and their families
  • Providing shift-level clinical leadership, supporting team coordination, patient flow and continuity of care
  • Contributing to education, quality improvement, research and change management activities within the service
  • Mentoring students and less experienced staff to foster a strong learning culture across the team

What You'll Bring

  • Current registration (or eligibility) as a Registered Nurse or Nurse/Midwife with AHPRA, with a mental health qualification or enrolment in an approved mental health nursing course
  • Consolidated mental health nursing experience and a firm commitment to person-, family- and recovery-centred care
  • Confidence working both autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, managing competing priorities with minimal supervision
  • Clear communication and leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to mentor and support less experienced colleagues
  • Cultural responsiveness, including experience working with Aboriginal consumers and communities, or a genuine commitment to building that capability within EFNLHN's regional context

Life and Work at EFNLHN

Port Lincoln sits on one of Australia's most spectacular coastlines - think fresh seafood, safe beaches, quality schools and a close-knit community that genuinely welcomes healthcare professionals. Ceduna offers its own distinct character, with wide open landscapes and deep community connection. Whichever base suits you, EFNLHN offers SA Health salary packaging benefits, access to professional development, and a service culture that takes flourishing seriously - for the communities it serves and the clinicians within it. You won't be a number here; regional practice means visible impact and room to grow as a clinician and leader.
