About the Role

An exciting leadership opportunity exists for an accomplished nursing and midwifery executive to join Port Pirie Regional Health Service as Director of Nursing and Midwifery.

Reporting at a senior leadership level, you will provide strategic and operational direction across nursing and midwifery services, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care.  Working collaboratively across the organisation, you will lead service improvement initiatives, strengthen clinical governance, and foster a culture of excellence, innovation and continuous improvement.

This influential role will see you guiding workforce development, supporting clinical leaders, implementing evidence-based practice, and ensuring services continue to meet the evolving healthcare needs of the local community.

We're seeking an experienced and inspirational healthcare leader who can confidently lead organisational change while building engaged, high-performing teams.  You will bring exceptional leadership, strategic thinking and a commitment to delivering outstanding patient outcomes.

Essential Requirements

  • Registered, or eligible for registration, with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Minimum five years' post-registration nursing and/or midwifery experience
  • Extensive senior leadership experience in healthcare management
  • Demonstrated experience leading significant organisational change.
  • Strong financial, workforce and strategic planning capability.
  • Proven ability to develop innovative, high-quality health services.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.
