Overview

Located at the heart of Ceduna’s community health network, the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Care Attendant to join the Stepdown Unit at the Ceduna Multi-Purpose Service.

This full-time, ongoing position operates across a 7-day roster and offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients transitioning through one of regional South Australia’s most vital community healthcare services. Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care that promotes independence, wellbeing, and positive health outcomes.

Your Role in the Stepdown Unit

Reporting to the Stepdown Manager, you'll work as part of a close-knit multidisciplinary team to provide direct, hands-on support to residents. Hours are negotiable, and your day-to-day will include:

  • Assisting clients with personal care including bathing, toileting, mobility support, and bed making
  • Supporting communication needs and providing care tailored to individual client requirements
  • Contributing to client assessments, medication assistance, and routine treatments under appropriate supervision
  • Delivering in-home services, laundry distribution, cleaning, and client transportation as needed

What You'll Bring

  • Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, or a related field (or equivalent demonstrated experience)
  • Experience providing direct personal care in a residential, community, or clinical setting
  • An understanding of person-centred care principles and how they apply in a stepdown or transitional care environment
  • Confidence working within a multidisciplinary team alongside nurses, allied health, and community workers
  • A current driver's licence suitable for client transportation duties
  • Commitment to the SA Health values of care, excellence, and integrity in everything you do
