Overview:

  • The Service Desk Team Leader is responsible to a Service Desk Manager, for the delivery of customer-oriented service within an efficient Service Desk to support SA Health business units. 
  • The key outcome for this role is to ensure effective delivery of the operational business support activities of the Services Desk Team, including human resources, occupational health, safety, and welfare.
  • The incumbent will be responsible for the delivery of effective and knowledgeable incident and service request management in accordance with policies, procedures, and service level agreements. The incumbent will be a subject matter expert on the function and operation of the Service Desk.
  • The position will provide training of staff as directed in the correct use of all standard desktop applications and hardware. 
  • The incumbent will also be required to share experience with more junior staff, monitor of team performance and provision of performance feedback to team members.

Criminal History Screening Requirement

  • A ‘National Police Certificate’ NPC (also known as a ‘Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check’ NCCHC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment).

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact).

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.

Special Conditions

  • Initially required to participate in a roster to cover a working day of 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday.
  • It is anticipated that the hours of working will change when SA Health Digital Health SA introduces a 24x7 Service Desk function. The incumbent will then be required to work weekends on a rostered basis and working hours will be adjusted to cover 7am to 7pm each day.
