About the Role

This 26-week transition program is designed for newly graduated Enrolled Nurses, or Enrolled Nurses returning to acute care after time away from the sector. Working alongside experienced Registered Nurses and Clinical Facilitators, you'll consolidate your clinical knowledge, develop practical skills and gain valuable experience across a supportive acute care environment.

Successful participants who complete the program will transition to casual employment within Limestone Coast Local Health Network, with each intake forming part of our ongoing workforce development program.

To succeed in this role, you will:

  • Be eligible for registration, or registered, as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia by October 2026.
  • Hold, or be eligible to obtain, a current practising certificate and medication administration qualification.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Show a commitment to ongoing learning, professional development and evidence-based practice.
  • Be able to prioritise workloads, recognise changes in patient condition and deliver person-centred care.
