About the Role:

Join Barmera Health Services as an Administration Officer and play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer-focused support to patients, residents, staff, and visitors across the Riverland Mallee Coorong Region. This rewarding position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, providing high-quality administrative services, managing key systems and data, and contributing to the smooth operation of both hospital and aged care services while making a meaningful difference in the community.

What We're Looking For:

Essential Criteria 

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, community members, and staff at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Demonstrated experience in administrative and clerical support, including accurate data entry and record management.
  • High-level computer proficiency and knowledge of office systems, customer databases, quality assurance practices, and information management processes.

Desired Criteria 

  • Experience working in a healthcare administration environment, particularly with medical records and health service systems.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, primary healthcare principles, and relevant government policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and healthcare administration software, with an understanding of safe work practices and funding processes.
