About the Role

Join a highly skilled Radiation Engineering team supporting the safe, precise and reliable delivery of radiotherapy services across the region. In this hands-on specialist role, you’ll maintain complex treatment equipment, solve technical issues and help deliver innovative engineering solutions that support outstanding patient care.

  • Maintain complex radiotherapy and medical physics equipment
  • Repair electronic, mechanical and mechatronic systems
  • Support RF, microwave and high voltage power systems
  • Build and modify mechanical devices and components
  • Assist software setup, support and system upkeep
  • Troubleshoot faults and deliver practical technical solutions
  • Partner with Physicists, clinicians and multidisciplinary teams
  • Co-ordinate contractors and support section staff as required
  • Apply engineering standards and safe work practices
  • Contribute to projects that improve patient treatment outcomes

About You

To thrive in this role, you'll bring a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to ongoing professional development. You should have:

  • A relevant technical qualification in Fitter and Turner or Electronics Engineering.
  • Proven ability to work independently or within a team, solving complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse teams.
  • Extensive experience in maintaining and repairing medical radiation therapy equipment.
