Help shape the future of volunteering across the Limestone Coast.

As the Volunteer Engagement Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to shape and grow a meaningful volunteer program that makes a real difference to our patients, consumers, staff and local communities. This newly created role within People and Culture is perfect for someone who is passionate about people, community connection and creating positive experiences for volunteers across the Limestone Coast.

In this role you will work closely with volunteers and teams across the Limestone Coast Local Health Network to attract, support and celebrate the incredible contribution volunteers make every day. From building strong relationships to developing engaging programs and recognition initiatives, you will play an important role in ensuring volunteers feel welcomed, valued, connected, and supported to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and grow engaging volunteer programs that strengthen community connection. Coordinate volunteer recruitment, onboarding, training, recognition, and ongoing support, while building strong relationships with volunteers, managers, community groups and external stakeholders. Working collaboratively with teams across the organisation, you will help create positive and meaningful volunteer experiences, promote volunteer opportunities through community engagement and events, and ensure programs remain safe, compliant, sustainable, and continuously improving.

What are we looking for?

Someone who is passionate about volunteering and community connection, with experience or knowledge in volunteer management practices such as recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention. Solid organisational and administrative skills, along with the ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively with a wide range of people will set you up for success. You will thrive working both independently and collaboratively and have experience coordinating programs, services, volunteers, or teams within a complex organisation. An understanding of compliance requirements including WHS, confidentiality, screening and risk management will support your success in the role, and while experience within the health or community sector is not required, having it will be a bonus!

Why Join Us?

This is your opportunity to make a real difference while feeling connected to the community you support. At the Limestone Coast Local Health Network, you will be part of a collaborative and supportive workplace where your ideas are valued and where you will be supported both personally and professionally. We also love having fun! You will have access to education and development opportunities, flexible working arrangements, and the chance to work within a professional team committed to holistic health care.

You will also have access to salary packaging benefits via Smart Salary Packaging and strong job security within SA Health.
