About the role

Support safe, efficient elective surgery pathways for paediatric and women’s patients as an Associate Elective Pre Admission Coordinator. Work under senior EPAC leadership to coordinate pre-admission processes, patient flow, education and multidisciplinary care to optimise surgical readiness and outcomes.

Key duties of the role

  • Deliver and coordinate high-quality, evidence-based clinical care, ensuring safe, client-centred management and effective communication across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Lead clinical decision-making and support service coordination to optimise patient outcomes, continuity of care and efficient patient flow.
  • Contribute to quality improvement, clinical governance and risk management activities, including monitoring outcomes, audits and compliance with policy.
  • Provide education, supervision and capability development for staff, patients and stakeholders, supporting a culture of learning and professional growth.
  • Demonstrate clinical leadership through service development, evidence-based practice, research translation and mentorship within a multidisciplinary environment.

Skills and Experience

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and at least 3 years post-registration clinical experience in a relevant practice area.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with strong communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and deliver effective outcomes in complex healthcare environments.
  • Experience in quality improvement, policy and procedure development and/or project management within a clinical setting.
  • Sound understanding of healthcare legislation, clinical governance, professional standards and contemporary nursing practice issues.
