Casemix Team Leader | SALHN - Shape Healthcare's Future Through Data Leadership

The Casemix Team Leader is accountable to the Casemix and Activity Based Funding (ABF) Manager for the overall operational and strategic management of the SALHN Casemix ABF service.  The service co-ordinates and produces information on SALHN activity (acute and sub-acute inpatients, emergency attendances and outpatient service events) essential to the effective, ongoing monitoring and review of clinical services both internally and externally. Liaison with clinical units across the LHN regarding models of care and funding changes will be a focus.  The role will involve the establishment of data sources, analysing and interpreting data, working closely with the patient costing team plus the supervision of Casemix staff. 

About you:

  • Experience within a hospital Casemix/ ABF service, preferably a tertiary hospital
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills in a complex environment and the ability to foster team participation and involvement
  • High level interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with clients, professional staff, administrative staff both orally and in writing
  • Experience in data extraction and management, interpretation and analysis, including compiling databases and generating meaningful results to assist in hospital management
  • Ability to work independently, under limited direction and setting priorities to achieve objectives and meet deadlines, often in a context of competing priorities and expectations
