About the role: 

Reporting to the Senior Manager of the Dietetics & Nutrition Department, this role is responsible for the provision of a comprehensive and confidential, administrative, secretarial and reception service to the Dietetics & Nutrition staff, which ensures that the secretarial and administrative needs of the Dietetics & Nutrition Department are met and an effective dietetic service to SALHN patients is achieved.

Duties for the role will include:

  • Act in a professional and courteous manner at all times when dealing with internal and external clients.
  • Taking responsibility for, and coordinating, the provision of secretarial and administrative support functions with in Dietetic & Nutrition that contribute to an efficient, confidential and effective administrative support service to enable comprehensive clinical services, teaching and research. 
  • Identifying, monitoring and attending to urgent enquiries
  • Coordinates and supports the credentialing process for professional staff within the Department.
  • Supporting departmental meetings, including preparing documentation, agendas, minutes, associated papers, report collation.
  •  
  • Working harmoniously with other team members to achieve service delivery excellence.

About you:

  • Experience working within a customer focused administrative area, preferably within a health setting. 
  • Requires excellent communication (written and verbal), time management and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently on complex and diverse workloads ensuring that any relevant deadlines are met.
  • Demonstrated administration and secretarial skills which may be applied to a multi-disciplinary team setting.
  • Ability to establish and maintain both integrity and confidentiality in dealing with issues of a sensitive or personal nature.
