Exceptional Neonatal Registrar Opportunity - Flinders Medical Centre

Full-time Neonatal Registrar contract at SA Health's Flinders Medical Centre, Southern Adelaide network. Three-year position commencing February 2027, offering exceptional professional development opportunities.

About the role: 

  • Registrar participation in all duties associated with inpatients in a tertiary neonatal service, including assessment of new admissions, care coordination, management of the day to day progress of assigned patients in the ward, discharge and follow up arrangements, during rostered hours of duty.
  • Participation in Outpatient Clinics
  • Extensive support available from in house consultant neonatologist and senior medical and nursing staff

About you:

  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Paediatric / Neonatal Trainee status with Royal Australasian College of Physicians, or if an overseas applicant or not in paediatric training have completed at least 6 months of tertiary neonatal experience.
  • Clinical skills appropriate for the duties performed in the Neonatal Unit
  • Commitment to quality improvement and teamwork

As per the SMOEA 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12-month allocation as Advanced Trainee will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills, and capabilities.
