Senior Occupational Therapist Geriatric Outreach: As a valued member of the Complex Transitional Care team, this role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the implementation and expansion of the Geriatric Outreach Service across the network.

You will play a key role in advancing dementia care, building workforce capability, and developing innovative, person-centred models. Responsibilities include delivering individualised, non-pharmacological interventions and providing specialist dementia education and guidance to staff. You will support best practice, optimise care environments, and facilitate safe transitions between acute and residential care settings.

The role also involves contributing to service improvement through KPI monitoring, data collection, and outcome analysis, with opportunities to influence statewide service development, workforce planning, and new models of care

This role services locations region wide including Gawler, Mount Barker and Victor Harbor and is being offered on a Temporary basis, full-time until 30 June 2027.

Clinical Senior Occupational Therapist Gawler Health Service: Deliver high-level OT care in a fast-paced ED (Gawler Hospital), supporting safe discharge, mentoring staff, and leading quality improvement and practice innovation. The role also provides leadership through mentoring and supervising staff and students, while driving innovation, quality improvement, and research initiatives to strengthen and advance occupational therapy practice. This role is being offered ongoing, Part-time (0.5FTE).

  • Apply specialist expertise with a high level of professional independence to deliver complex clinical and consultancy services, using in-depth knowledge of organisational priorities to guide service development, innovation, and practice improvement.
  • Deliver complex services with autonomy, providing expert advice, leading teams, and driving development and improvement across the network.
  • Promote respectful, client-centred and culturally safe care by partnering with stakeholders and communities, including Aboriginal consumers, to enhance service quality, improve health outcomes, and embed meaningful consumer engagement across service planning, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Support effective service delivery through accurate documentation, informed decision-making, and efficient use of resources, systems, and projects.
  • Provide strategic leadership to support workforce planning, collaboration, and high-quality, integrated care aligned with BHFLHN priorities.
  • Lead continuous improvement and service evaluation through innovation, risk management, research, and ethical practice to enhance quality, safety, and system-level outcomes.
