About the role

The Administration Officer provides administrative support and frontline customer service for Child and Family Health Services, acting as first point of contact, handling enquiries, directing clients, communicating with staff, and delivering service in a professional and timely manner.  

Key duties of the role

  • Act as ‘first point of contact’ for both front of counter and telephone customers.
  • Identify customer needs and provide accurate and timely information.
  • Record referral information as required and maintain databases and waiting lists.
  • Direct enquiries to appropriate staff.
  • Assist in arranging meetings, agendas, and recording and distributing minutes.

Skills and Experience

  • Working in a demanding frontline customer service position within a Health Service.
  • Maintaining electronic and hard copy client record Managing appointment bookings.
  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Maintain sensitivity, integrity and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask.
