Looking for a hands-on leadership role where your skills make a real impact?

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Facility Officer to lead maintenance operations and ensure our health facilities remain safe, functional and well-maintained for staff, patients and the community.

About the Role

As the Facility Officer, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department, ensuring the efficient repair and upkeep of buildings, equipment and grounds across the health service.

You will coordinate maintenance services, supervise contractors and support key safety programs, including fire safety and emergency preparedness, while contributing to a high-performing and responsive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate maintenance services and daily operations
  • Oversee repairs and upkeep of buildings, plant and equipment
  • Supervise contractors and external service providers
  • Manage budgets, resources and maintenance planning
  • Coordinate fire safety systems and emergency preparedness programs
  • Maintain safe, compliant and well-presented facilities and grounds
  • Drive continuous improvement and support a positive team culture

What We Are Looking For:

  • Trade qualification or equivalent experience in building/maintenance services
  • Proven experience in facility or maintenance management
  • Ability to lead teams and coordinate contractors
  • Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using tools, equipment and basic computer systems
  • Knowledge of work health and safety, risk management and compliance
