Join Yorke and Northern Local Health Network (YNLHN) as a Maintenance Officer (Casual) in the beautiful Mid North and Southern Flinders region. This flexible casual role offers the opportunity to work across the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network, Crystal Brook, Laura, Booleroo, Orroroo, Peterborough, and Jamestown, supporting essential healthcare facilities throughout rural South Australia until April 2027.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, and general upkeep of plant, equipment and buildings in line with organisational and legislative requirements.
  • Ensure all installations and maintenance activities comply with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and compliance documentation.
  • Maintain grounds and gardens, and support waste management services.
  • Promote and uphold a safe work environment in accordance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
  • Liaise professionally with staff, contractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and support emergency and disaster preparedness activities.

Highly Regarded

  • Trade qualification or significant experience in a maintenance or trade-related role.
  • Experience within healthcare or large, complex facility environments.
  • Knowledge of chemical, safety, and infection control principles.
  • Experience in quality systems and continuous improvement.
