Join SA Health's Noarlunga Community Mental Health Team as a Multiclass RN2C & AHP2 and make a meaningful impact supporting individuals with mood disorders in their recovery journey. This full-time contract position until February 2027 offers the unique opportunity to combine nursing and allied health expertise while working with a collaborative multidisciplinary team across Adelaide's southern suburbs. About the role: 

Reporting to the Team manager, some of your duties will include:

  • Planning and providing specialist treatment programs (which include cognitive and behaviour therapies) for complex psychological disorders
  • Act as a resource person within an area based on knowledge, experience and skills
  • Participate in clinical teaching, overseeing learning experience, and goal setting for students, new staff and staff with less experience
  • Providing occupational therapy consultation and assistance to other service providers including non-government organisations to meet the mental health care needs of the consumer
  • Developing community networks which are responsive to the identified needs of consumers

About you:

  • Comprehensive assessment skills (including risk) to inform a psychological case conceptualisation and a treatment plan
  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience
  • Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cohesively with consumers, carers, other agencies, community services and the multi-disciplinary team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to express complex ideas succinctly and logically

This is a single vacancy, with two possible appointment classifications. The successful applicants will be appointed in the position appropriate to their skills, qualifications, and experience.

Please note that this position is multi-classed as either a AHP2 or RN2C and classification will be determined by qualifications and experience.
