About the Role:

An exciting opportunity is available to join the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Cashier Assistant within Hospital Revenue Services. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, numbers, and systems and who takes pride in keeping essential hospital financial processes running smoothly.

As a Cashier Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring hospital revenue is processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. From front-line cashier functions to complex billing and reporting activities, your work will directly support patient services and the broader health network.

At the core of this role is the delivery of efficient, accurate, and compliant cashier and billing services. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cashier and Revenue Collection Activities - including receiving and receipting over-the-counter payments, balancing daily takings, preparing banking, and maintaining responsibility for the hospital safe.
  • Hospital Billing and Accounts Administration - supporting end-to-end hospital billing processes, including raising patient invoices, raising and entering billing data, and issuing accounts through hospital systems.
  • Debt Management, Reporting, and Reconciliations - monitoring outstanding debtor balances, following-up overdue accounts, and process approved debt waivers and write offs.
