Work type: Full time
Location: Adelaide Metro Northern
Categories: Administration, Business and Management, Procurement and Supply Chain and Contract Management

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity is available to join the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) as a Procurement and Contracts Officer, where you will play a key role in delivering value‑for‑money outcomes that directly support essential health services. This is a dynamic position that sits at the intersection of governance, strategy and service delivery, offering variety, influence and the opportunity to make a meaningful organisational impact.

In this role, you will support end‑to‑end procurement and contract management activities, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, strong governance and effective commercial outcomes. You will prepare and manage procurement and contract documentation, maintain contract management systems, provide sound advice on sourcing and negotiations, and support stakeholders across business and clinical units. Working collaboratively, you will contribute to the effective implementation and ongoing improvement of the NALHN procurement framework, while actively identifying continuous improvement opportunities that enhance efficiency, transparency and performance.

About You:

To thrive in this role you will demonstrate experience in the procurement of goods and services across the public or private sector, along with proven capability in contract management and delivering value‑for‑money outcomes. You are comfortable coordinating and facilitating change, taking initiative, and making sound commercial and contracting decisions informed by risk analysis and business needs. With strong strategic thinking, analytical and problem‑solving skills, you are able to manage complex issues, negotiate effectively and maintain strong stakeholder relationships. You work confidently with minimal supervision, take full responsibility for the accuracy and quality of your work, and effectively manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Your highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills enable you to provide expert advisory services at a senior level, including interpretation and application of policy and legislation, supported by experience in asset or facilities‑related functions.

If you are ready to take ownership, influence outcomes and build a strong procurement legacy within NALHN, we encourage you to apply.
