About the Role:

The Maintenance Officer is responsible for maintaining the health unit’s facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment. The role involves carrying out a range of general maintenance tasks across both interior and exterior areas, including rubbish collection, carpentry, painting, plumbing, minor mechanical work, and grounds maintenance.

What We're Looking For:

Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in building and grounds maintenance.

  • Ability to safely use a wide range of hand and power tools.

  • Strong teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.

  • Ability to work independently, use initiative and meet deadlines with limited supervision.

  • Knowledge of safe work practices and commitment to workplace safety and customer service.

Desired Criteria:

  • Successful completion of Year 11 or equivalent.

  • Current First Aid Certificate.

  • Current Forklift Licence or willingness to obtain.

  • Demonstrated manual handling skills.
