WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?

The Enrolled Nurse role offers an opportunity to support the delivery of person-centred nursing/midwifery care within a structured and supportive clinical environment. Working under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse/Midwife, you will contribute to safe, high-quality care while developing your practice from novice to proficient level.

In this role, you will build your clinical skills through hands-on experience, ongoing learning opportunities, and participation in education, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice, while maintaining accountability for your own actions and professional standards

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?

• Deliver person-centred care and complete nursing care tasks within scope of practice.
• Support the healthcare team, including assisting and overseeing AINs and students.
• Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice activities.
• Provide education to patients, families and carers.
• Support professional learning and development for yourself and others.

WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW/WHAT IS ESSENTIAL FOR SUCCESS?

Working in this environment, it is important to us that we only employ people with the upmost integrity and commitment to serving the South Australian community and its visitors to the highest possible standards. To ensure that we meet that commitment there are a few checks that you will be required to undertake. These are detailed on the Role Description, but are likely to include the following:

• You will need to be immunised. Please contact the Enquiries Person for this position if you have any queries. Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy. Further information is in the application for to help guide you. 
• You will need to undergo employment screening, what you require is also on the front page of the Role Description.
• You must be enrolled or eligible for enrolment as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practising certificate.
