About the role

The Business Systems Officer manages projects supporting financial, ICT, and administrative operations within the service. The Business Systems Officer monitors business data and KPIs, maintains financial and statistical data of budget performance,  and oversees EMR use by ensuring accurate data capture and user support training.

Key duties of the role

  • Support the Business Manager to ensure accounting procedures are implemented.
  • Liaise with financial services, payroll service, and other cost centre managers to ensure correct allocation of expenses.
  • Support the Business Manager to develop and implement improved activity reporting and resource management.
  • Participate in budget processes, ensuring deadlines are achieved.
  • Support the Business Manager in providing a range of financial and activity reporting to Managers to develop effective key performance indicators.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in managing a range of data management projects that have an impact on financial operations.
  • Experience in undertaking business analysis, developing strategies, and providing concise written reports.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and reporting on key performance indicators.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Corporate Systems and SHARP.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
