About the role

The Associate Nurse Unit Manager of Rose Ward supports the Nurse Unit Manager in leading ward staff and ensuring consistent, person-centred care. The ANUM assists with practice changes, staffing, rostering, and resource management, while overseeing clinical care and monitoring patient plans for optimal outcomes.

Key duties of the role

• Provide proficient, person centred, clinical nursing care and individual case management.
• Monitor patient care plans to ensure appropriate care outcomes are achieved.
• Oversee the provision of nursing care within Rose Ward.
• Assist and support the Nurse Unit Manager in various activities.
• Act to resolve local nursing care or service delivery problems.

Skills and Experience

• Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
• Registered Nurse with at least 3 years post registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse.
• Experience in the supervision of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.
• Effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
